Our Story

Ivan and Ksusha

THE BALLROOM DANCE HOUSE (TBDH) is owned and operated by Professional Ballroom Dancers Ivan Kudashev and Ksusha Sokolova. Together they have more than 15 years of teaching experience and over 20 years of medals and Championships from around the Globe as International Latin Professional dancers.

Ksusha was born in Chelyabinsk, Russia and her passion for dance started at 5 years old. She went on to receive two higher degrees:

The Art of Choreography as well as Psychology and Pedogogy from Chelyabinsk State.

Academy of Culture and Arts. She is a competitive Ballroom and Contemporary dancer and has traveled the world teaching, performing, and competing.

Ivan was also born in Chelyabinsk, Russia. He began dancing at the age of 8, and was a key member of the Impuls Formation Team until he was 19 years old. Ivan became the Russian National Vice-Champion, placing in the final of the European Championship and the semi-finals of the World Championships.

Representing their country competing and performing across the globe, together they have received credentials, awards, and honors as Bronze medalists of the European and World Championships Latin Professional Show Dance.

They came to America in 2017 and in addition to teaching students of all ages and levels, they quickly became US National Professional Latin Show Dance Champions and US Open Professional Latin and American Rhythm Finalists.

They are partners, teachers, and coaches and look forward to being a part of your dance journey.
